Premier Coach AZ - 2011 Newell (Coach 1421)
#11

I'm him, finally newellin. The reason we went with a 36' Foretravel no slide coach (which has a passenger table+2 chairs) was we wanted something smaller and simpler for our Alaska trip. It's working great! Ability to get into smaller sights and have everything working with no hookups was and is a big factor for this trip. Battleborn lithium batteries and solar is working great!
But while it's a great smaller coach it isn't a Newell. Pretty close in quality though. Headroom is much less than a similar Newell but at 5'10" it's not a problem. We did consider that 38' 1996 Newell for sale last year but it still wasn't a "boondock" coach with the 220v systems and more air complexity.
We're pleased with the FT especially with the amount of storage but if we were full timing we would want a Newell again. So it really depends on what your needs and wants are and your mechanical ability to do your own work. Any of these beasts can be a money pit if you have to bring it to a repair shop for everything.
Good luck in your search. And Oscar's coach is a beautiful coach and has had excellent maintenance and upkeep. When we bought our FT the previous maintenance was a big factor and we did pay a premium for it. But if we would have bought another FT without the level of maintenance we would have spend as much or more bringing it to the same level.

We also strongly prefer the passenger-side dinette. There are lots of them out there; enjoy the hunt.
