Newell put the described shut off valves on each slide out seal. They also used them on air accessories like the air train horns.

Got it now....I have seen those shut off valves.  I am over thinking to the point of a shutoff valve buried in the air system somewhere as an isolation valve.  Thanks for the clarification.
