I've been using this for a couple drives so far and like the routing. The only problem I have is the gps receiver on the Nexus loses the signal sometimes. Not sure if it is the Nexus itself or a glitch between it and Copilot. It is in a holder attached in the middle of the dash so it may be too far from the windshield.
Does anybody have any suggestions for a bluetooth gps receiver to use with this?
Would it have to be outside (haven't found any that are waterproof)?
Or would it work better than the Nexus and could be placed by the windshield defroster vents?

Would a gps data logger work as a gps for the Nexus?
i have a usb gps that sits inside the windshield and it worked great. you do not have to be outside for them to work.

Is it connected by bluetooth or usb?
I didn't think the Nexus could connect a usb device.
i used a usb on my laptop. the google nexus 7 can use a usb if you "unlock" it and buy a min usb dongle. i did that for both of ours. you can use any usb device on it then. but the dongle is pretty flimsy.

My Asus tablet is my digital dash which primarily shows Silverleaf. I connected a remote USB hub to the Asus and connected two GPS antennas to the hub. One is for Co-Pilot and one for Microsoft Streets & Trips which sit in the background on the Asus. The antennas are in front of the dash next to the windshield and work great.
