First trip out got into a pixxxxx match with a semi. After 1/2hour of 95 mph a tire blew taking off the plastic fender and the steel cords did a number on the rear bumper and engine cover. When we got home my son revamped the toad putting on 16" Michelin tires to match the tires on the trailer, built 5/16" thick STEEL fenders had them powder coated :-) and put a cutting edge on the bottom of the fender to try to cut the steel belts. This was 2 years ago and about 20,000 miles ago with no further problems.
I'm having issue with steer tag turning to sharp for toad to work well especially when backing up..
As difficult as it is to back a toad without a steerable tag in anything other than a straight line, I can imagine that ANY turn in reverse with the steerable tag would put an incredible strain on the toad and tow bars.
Yeah I ripped the old hitch off.. Newell built me a new super strong hitch.. Considering returning the toad.. It has 59 feet on the tires
Very nice looking coach. Congratulations and Welcome from a Newell newbie.
THANKS Ken
