I just noticed that the front end of my generator compartment is missing some of the insulation.
What product is best for sound proofing this?
There is 1 piece left that looks like it is 1" thick with a foil face on one side then a thick piece of foam then a thin piece of foam on the inside edge.
Where can I buy this?
JC Whitney

What about this product: http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/ap...fsheet.php
Or this: http://www.dupreeproducts.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=6
Wonder which one would be better?
When I did my generator compartment I got a foam that had foil on one side and a layer of lead between the foam. It is pricey but very effective. I remember that I got it from a generator sales/service in Ohio. I believe they have supplied generators to Newell in the past. You might call Newell on this one.
I have used the Dupree mat before- good stuff
I used something similar in the aircraft business like Spruce is selling. But I remember getting something like it for my Newell at JC Whitney was a bunch cheaper.
I just remembered where I got that sound absorbent material.
