I have been converting my interior lighting over to LED's for a few years now. I have a lot of those square lights Newell used.....18 of them to be precise. I removed two of them from the engine bay when I was at Tom's home back in February. A couple of weeks ago I had some time on my hands, and a couple of feet left of the strip lighting, and converted those two to LED replacing the one under the microwave, and adding a second light in the pantry. They turned out great, but were too labor intensive. I found a seller on Ebay selling these 1156 bayonet style lights for $4.69 each. There are 120 SMD LED's on each bulb and are they ever bright!
I bought 10 initially to see if I would like them. I put 2 in the shower, 4 in the bathroom, one in the original pantry light, two in the through storage compartment, and one in the Norcold refer bay. Here are picture of the bulb, and the shower. I was able to take the picture of the bulb without a lense by fiddling with the camera angle so you could see the LED's lit up......as you can tell from the third picture they are quite bright.
I've still got 7 to go, and I like the light output. These came from China and made it here via China Post in less than 10 days.....not bad.
