hi all,

michael and i have a request to you all.

we would like to have a sampling of coach model year, length, slides or not and how many and a picture of your vin tag (or info off of it) and what your coach weighed at a weigh scale by axle or wheel. also how was your coach loaded when you weighed it. like was it full of fuel and water and your personal stuff, etc. was the waste tank empty?

is you scroll down to my post you can see what we would like. the vin and weigh ticket. if not that, then the data off of it.

just reply to this post with the info and we will collate it once we get some data.

thanks!

tom
My coach is a 1999 45", rear bath floorplan with two slides.

My coach's gross axle weights are front-17,640 lbs, drive-23,000 lbs & tag-10,000 for a total GVW of 50,640 lbs.

I never weighed the coach empty.

I weighed the coach at Newell. Coach was fully loaded with personal items, full of fuel, full of water, 1/2 full waste tank and Suzy & I in coach.

My coaches LF was 8860 lbs and RF was 8710 lbs. Total front axle weight was 17570 lbs.
My coaches LD was 11180 lbs and RD was 11,810 lbs. Total drive axle weight was 22,990 lbs.
My coaches LT was 4830 lbs and RT was 5150 lbs. Total tag weight was 9980 lbs.
Total coach weight was 50,540 lbs.

Since weighing I have removed about 300 lbs that I have not replaced.
steve. how big is your fuel tank?

tom
My fuel tank is 281 gallons.

The problem I see in trying to compare coach weights is that there are too many variables--such as fuel tank size, amt & wt of personal gear, etc.
[attachment=2005]My 99 coach was weight with no any personal items and fuel and water was nil.
Front 16,700
drive 21,760
tag 9,720
Total 48,180
It has two slides and mid bath. Fuel 220 gals. and fresh water 160 gals.
chappell, so it was full of water and fuel, but no personal items?

tom
steve. it is just to get some data. not for exact comparisons. for example, my coach has a 235 gal fuel tank

tom
So, Chappell, if I am reading you correctly, you only had 2,460 pounds left with little water or fuel on board based on a GVWR of 50,640. Looks like you could benefit from the 365 front tire upgrade if you don't have it.
1993 45' VIN 1N9450X8XP1011316 Built as a bunk coach for Steve Miller Band . No slides. 1/2 full tanks. Lightly loaded with personal items.
front 13,500
tag @ 24psi 3740
tag @ 30psi 4500
tag @ 35psi 4800
tag @ 40psi 5600
tag and rear axle combined 26,600
total coach 40,100
Tag load was measured by positioning coach with tag only on scales.
Tom, My coach did not have any water but maybe 50 gals of fuel. It was weight by MOT before I bought it in order to get the proper weight for the title. When I received the coach it was full of water and fuel. Most of the coaches I looked at didn't have much fuel or water. They filled it after they weight it. I will have it weight again with it loaded the way I have it now. I will do this in the next week or so and let you know.
