I just found information for my 1978 35' Newell that I sold in 2009. VIN 3500RE1069D11L. It is now owned by Al Hesselbart, An historian for the Elkhart, Indiana RV/Motorhome Hall of fame Museum.

Thanks Dean. I have updated by listing. Pretty neat that it is owned by someone associated with the RV/Motorhome Hall of Fame Museum. That is a worthwhile visit for anyone who likes RV's or history. Some of the early RV's in there are really an eye opener.

I'm in W. Monroe but haven't seen #317.
Don't have much other information other than it was registered in Delaware back in June of 1992 and was registered in W. Monroe in April of 2013. I don't even know what color it is, just that it is a 40' 0" long and is a 1993 model. I am not aware of having seen it advertised for sale on any of the national sites during the past several years even though there were only four 1993 models built that were 40' or shorter.
I now have VIN's for a few pre-1990 Newells. If you have one I am missing, I would appreciate the information. Remember that during the mid to late 80's the last three digits were a year model sequence number.

1988 ending in 013, 010 and 006
1987 ending in 014
1986 ending in 027, 026, 024, 021 and 006
1984 ending in 037
1982 ending in 007
1980 ending in 005

OK, now that I have all of the VINs from 214-1518, I would like to expand back into the 80's, 70's and 60's. I have a few listed in post above but would appreciate any VIN or Serial Numbers for early model Newells especially if you have access to a digital photo of the coach also.
