I contacted Newell re the wood floor, and was told that they do not do the wood floor for my coach because of the slide.
Chester, What slide system do they install wood floors?
My service writer there is Jimmy Raymond and perhaps he does not know what he is talking about. He also said they do not have parts to install the Easi Steer. Strange that they would advertise summer specials that do not apply to my coach. Perhaps a call on Monday will provide more details.
I don't know if Easi Steer can be used on anything other than ZF suspensions beginning with the 2012 models. The ad does say to call to see if it is applicable to your coach.

Easi Steer was introduced into the Newell line on July, 2011 and as a retrofit for all 2012 models delivered before July 2011 which would likely go back to about coach 1409.
$5,000 to $11,000 for the 865 tire upgrade does not seem to be special to me.
I discussed the wood floor issue with Newell's floor supervisor. Even though the laminate flooring is not very thick, Newell will not install it on any coach that has HWH hydraulic slides. My coach has this system and there is a piece of specially designed metal that is located in a place that slightly depresses the carpet fibers when the floor is pushed in. Since the laminate floor cannot be depressed, it would be damaged when the slide is moved in. They attempted to it on one coach, but the installation resulted in them having to raise the floor next to the couch when the slide is extended which is unacceptable.
chappell, 865's are mighty big. maybe it is a good price. an 865 is nearly 3 feet wide. that would look knarly going down the road.

Chester thanks for more info on the carpet/hard floor issue. Sounds like we're stuck with carpet, or grass....
Tom, I'm getting old and sometimes my brain does not work as it should. I will agree that 865's would look more like a swamp buggy. Funny thing it has taken a month for anyone to have noticed.
