My compressor is making a bit more racket every month...it seems to vibrate a little more when starting up and sometimes taking a minute or more to sound normal. I am sure it is running properly and the pressure everywhere and cycling all normal.
Thought to turn this into a "Poll" of sorts in asking which brand you have and then you fill in your specific model and experiences with it...

Merry Christmas , Happy Hannakah , Yeah, Yeah, Yeah ......

Gast compressor here.
I don't think I am a fan of Thomas. I replaced one for "general principles" about two years ago, and the new one has already failed. (I put the old one back in). You can get them repaired (see Marc's post) but the repair is expensive and hard to find.

I don't have experience with the others, but will investigate should my old / new one fail.

Cheers,
bill
i put in a jun-air. they are much pricier (though i found mine on ebay for cheap). i bought an oiless one that is mainly used for dentist office. it is pretty quiet but not as quiet as the jun-air oil compressors. i know many have the oil lubed one as well.

tom
What model Jun-air ?
