A HUGE THANK YOU!! I heard the doorbell and it was Andrew French who happened to have been reading the posts during his lunch. He told me he thought to himself, "Wow, if this was my mom!" So, he started working on it just as Mark Newman called. I handed the phone to Andrew and they began to work their magic. The solution? Not sure but Mark was having me reset all the breakers (none of them had flipped) and the same time, Andrew replaced the old thermostat, reset it, which we had already done numerous times, and the heaters kicked on! I now have heat. Then Andrew went outside and said my main compressor was running continuously so he activated (?) the second one. Do I sound like I know what I'm talking about?? Anyhow, to make a long story short, we have heat and we have air!
Thanks also to Tom, Forrest and Ron for their help. You guys are all the best. Now, who wants to take my dog out to poop in this snow? Also, don't know when Gary will be back. His flight for tomorrow in Boston was canceled and he got on an earlier one, but the jury is still out if the OKC airport will be open. But, heck, who needs him???? (just kidding, Gary) Wink
This is another great confirmation of the value of the forum. Love it.
Good rescue and rescuee......
Just have newell check for air leaks and make sure the other pump didn't burn up because of one
Marc: your technical ability is getting impressive for a banker lol. This is an incredible story of the great people that own Newell's and the wonderful connections this forum provides.
I don't know how to diagnose or fix anything myself. But when I have had it break I watch and learn and try to figure out how to fix it. I just had had the same problems before and guys here and at newel had helped me learn.. How's florida? I'll be in destin in 2 weeks
Camp gulf .. Love that place
Thanks to all who pitched in to help Susie in that miserable OKIE weather. I was in Boston where it wasn't much better.
We are now back in NM and coach is at Newell finishing up service. We will go back and pick it up soon.
Safe travels everyone.
Gary
