[attachment=3356]Remember John Clarks 08 Newell he drove to the rally at Spearfish.  Someone back ended  it pretty good.
Chappell,

Ask the guys about that. The story I heard is that someone crashed their coach, and needed to go somewhere so they borrowed that coach from Newell. They were backing up and someone did not see them and hit the coach at full speed.

Talk about a bad week!

Yes, I talked to David about the coach and said they might total it if the frame is bent.  All David told me was a car ran into the back of it.  Must have been going pretty fast from the looks of the damage. Shame, it was a beautiful coach.
That is not the coach John brought to Spearfish.  That one was the green & gold one.  Coach #1291--http://www.newellcoach.com/newell-coaches/coach-1291/

This one may have been the one that Brian Pitts brought to the Ozarks rally.  I saw this coach after they brought it in at Newell.  It was hit from the right side at about the side engine compartment door.  Looked to me like a left turn gone bad.  It was hit very hard. Look closely & you'll notice how the right rear corner is pushed toward the rear of the coach and the rear engine cover is only scratched.
[attachment=3357]Steve, this is the coach that John and his wife drove to Spearfish personally.  Newell also sent the one you are talking about later in the Rally. This is another view of the damage coach.
It wasn't outside last night. Must have moved it in
[attachment=3358]Steve, found a photo of this coach at Spearfish.
A bit off of the subject, but I wonder how many auto's are carrying enough liability insurance to repair the coach?
Chappell,
You are 100% right.  John & his wife took Suzy & I through coach 1291, so I forgot that they actually brought another coach.  As I thought about it coach 1291 was brought to the rally from the FMCA rally in Wyoming on their way back to Miami.

Hard to believe they would total the 2008.  All of the damage was behind the rear end suspension.  Didn't notice the frame rails, but the battery box, batteries and everything in the side engine compartment was destroyed.  I don't remember any thing getting into the engine area.  Every thing else was cosmetic.
Is this coach #1247?
