I have pretty extensive hand tools and lots of 24-volt cordless tools for pretending to work on my coach...
Where do you guys normally mount your tool box?  In my current coach there is one bay that is devoted to it but I'm not really seeing one on the Newell.  I definitely want it on the curb side and the only really good location has a Joey bed in it.  I was thinking about mounting a 6-10" tall slide drawer tray/box (east/west mounting) that is about 26" wide and 18" deep on the Joey bed - this way it would clear the sides of the Joey bed.
Then I could mount whatever size regular or middle chest toolbox on top of that.  I think this will work if the Joey bed can handle all the weight... any other (better) ideas?
Do you guys not have tool boxes?
I have a large tool box located on the slideout tray in the bay just to the rear of the entry door. I don't have a freezer on the slide and the large tool box fits right behind the LCD TV cabinet.
I wanted to leave my large Joey bed uncluttered so that I can carry tables, BBQ and other large items on it.  The small Joey bed next to it contains my freezer and folding ladder.  I elected to install heavy duty drawer slides and a tool box in the bay aft of the back A/C bay on the drivers side.  Photo attached.

Quick, someone give Adrian the "No two Newells are the same" talk! Smile

I have seen toolboxes in all sorts of locations. Mine is on a joey-slide in front of mid-entry door. I suspect the answer for anyone would really depend on the specific coach.

Bill, I know they are not the same lol but they have to be a *little* bit alike. Just mostly want to get some ideas. Thanks for sharing!
So if I wanted to install slides in one of my bays that now only has shelves where do you recommend to look for some that can handle the weight of tools when extended?
Slide-Master http://www.slide-master.com/products/180-cargoslide Mor-Ryde http://www.amazon.com/MOR-ryde-CTG604290...B007HRL526 and Kwikee http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/cfp/h...oC2mPw_wcB all make sliding cargo trays. The Slide-Master listed is up to 1600 lbs capacity. The specific Mor-Ryde and Kwikee models shown are 800 pounds capacity.
I added one like this to my sliding tray in one of the bays. worked well and took up less room than a regular toolbox.

Forest, that toolbox is the perfect solution! That will be great for all my 'big' 24volt tools! I may get a couple of them! My wife instantly thought it was storage for the closet :-( lol
