Steve, sounds like your tires are just aging out......6.5 years is pretty much the outer edge of tire life for anything but a Michelin. 85 PSI sounds a little low for your drive tires......

I would definitely take the Michelin over the B/S. I think mine are 16 ply and I have never had a problem with Michelin's.
