The metal tube that the fan motor mounts too broke at a weld point. Allowing blades to hit radiator broke all the fan blades off. Only good news. Was 15 miles from Newell

So why would there be a weld point there? It that where the tube is mounted to a support?

Any idea from Newell on why the failure?

If that is an uncommon failure you might want to make sure there is not a harmonic vibration coming from the fan motor.

Got it back to Newell about 630 on a tow truck. They were working overtime so they were able to give it a quick glance .. Hopefully the fan assembly came loose from the shaft of the motor causing the the shaft  to wallow out fan assembly or possibly the key came loose. That may have caused a vibration breaking the support tube and causing the blades to break.. That's best case scenario.. Worst case is hydraulic motor went bad and it all needs to be replaced..

You definitely have our sympathy. We lost fan & radiator damage earlier this year. Not a fun time at all. Glad you only had short tow.

When you get a chance, tell us more about the towing. Who did you use and what equipment handled the job.

This is the second time I was towed and a much better experience.. I learned a lot this time.. You must have a wheel lift where they slide the lift under the coach and lift it by the wheels.. The first time we had a clearance issue on the front number.. This time they guy had a solution.. He lifted the coach . Then placed the wheels on blocks , released the wheels and regrabbed them. Because the coach was on blocks off the ground he could grab the tires at a lower point on the tire the second time, thereby giving him a little more clearance for the tow. This also resulted in the rear of the coach having a little better clearance..

Also ran an airline underneath the coach to keep bags up...

Another issue to guys with air doors.. Make sure u release the pressure to the door so when you release the brake you can still get in and out..

You are certainly gaining experience on how to be towed. You have my sympathy .

Still can't picture in my mind how the wheels were "grabbed". You didn't happen to take a picture did you?
