After 1 year of design and building the first chassis , Newman Ellis stacker number 001 is almost completed. I am leaving tomorrow to pick it up and take it on an 800 mile road test. After which if all goes well, we will build the body and begin to take orders. The 4 wheel independent air ride suspension looks incredible. 22.5  inch Alcoa durabrite rims that match the coach. Pics and video to follow next week. Any and all comments are welcome..critiques are encouraged..
Let's see some pics already! Smile
Along time coming Hope all goes well and the building starts soon. Looking forward to the pics as well!
The chassis is complete here it is in the down position . Waiting to be loaded or unloaded..
That looks like a robust frame
...And an interesting rear axle assembly....KOOOL!
No axles, 4 wheel independent suspension.. The front of the chassis is to the left..
Looks like the beginning of a winner. Keep us posted.
How will it turn without the coach dragging the front tires when the coach rear end kicks out to go around a corner... I must be missing something. I guess the wheels turn then it would not be dragging them...
Any idea how much this awesome beast is going to cost? We are looking at getting a stacker soon.
You know, even without the raising/lowering bed the suspension on this is uber cool. Would not have to worry about the load as much and could probably run tandem on the rear for even more weight capacity...
It's coming along probably another 30-45 days. The front tires "steer" or follow , that way you don't have tire slide.. Send me your phone number. I'll send you some videos. Another neat trick is you can reverse and back up the trailer. Unlike a car towing four flat the suspension caster rotates 180 degrees allowing you to back up
