That is probably a user installed switch. I will take a wild guess....Some folks have run a wire and switch to turn the hydraulic fan from normal to full on. That way they can maximize cooling at low RPMs. If you turn on with the engine running do you notice anything different?

You might be able to tell where & what it's wired to by looking in from the access panel that is on the windshield side of the dash board. A lot easier than trying to look from underneath.

Definitely user installed. Good news is they used the Cole Hersee paddle switch so it would match the others. Is is single position, or on off on? Is momentary?

Some other WAGs. Check the headlight function, some Newells of that area were wired to have both sets of lights come on with high beams.

Do confirm that you are not activating one of the dump valves...........

Does it have any impact on the jake brake? Some of us have wired in activation off of the brake pedal.

Everybody should have a mystery switch. Took me a year to figure out mine by the door.

Thanx everybody, do have both lights on with high beams. Did what I should have done in the beginning, traced wires behind dash. Appears po had tank sender in fwd [gen] fuel tank, and toggle switches between tanks.
I do have a curbside air dump valve and still cannot find a switch for it.

There are typically dual switches for the curbside air dump valve, one in the bay by the dump valve and the second on the dash. Please be aware that they ONLY operate when the ignition is turned on. I thought mine was defective and Newell very politely told me the key had to be on for it to work. Also make sure the tank is empty or you have a hose attached before operating it so you don't try to emulate Chevy Chase in Family Vacation.

Good find! I was hoping for an ejection seat button. Our 2000 FT had a retard button... My niece got a kick out of that one...

Does my memory serve me in thinking that Matt hit the dump valve on one of Ron's coaches while driving down the Interstate? Or was it someone else?
