Newell Gurus

Can anyone who owns a pre-1990 Newell, especially around a 1983, tell me where they found a VIN plate on their coach? On my 1992, the VIN plate is on the side wall by the drivers left foot and the VIN is also on a plate in the engine compartment on the passengers side. On newer coaches, at least by 2000, the VIN itself is in the side dash viewable from the outside through the drivers window. As I recall, in the 1960's the Serial Number was stamped on a metal plate and attached to the outside of the Newell.

If anyone can help locate here the VIN plate would be on a 1983 in particular, I would appreciate it.

I have a 84 mid entry coach, the vin # is located on the inside wall left of the steps.
