This floor looks great Ernie! You wanna come over to Alabama and help me install the new Acacia in my home? :-) What glue do you use please? Would that work in our home as well?
I use urethane adhesive. There are lots of brands. The best are the moisture cure- no water in the pail. The adhesive uses water in the air to cure. Each 5 gallon pail weighs around 80 pounds
not traveling to work anymore, sorry
so do you worry about expansion from moisture and temperature? what gap do you leave on the edges.

Engineered wood is the best stuff. Dimensionally stable and does not move. I cut tight against the cabinets and walls and never an issue. Urethane adhesive is the best invention for installation.
looking good
bedroom completion and some carpet
That looks great Ernie! I can only hope my home looks that good when I’m done. We are waiting to get popcorn ceilings removed (it’s an 80’s Contemporary we are remodeling) and then we will move on to paint, cabinets and then flooring. The Acacia we are finding here is either too dark or too shiny... wanting something in between since our room has very large windows. You mind sharing who makes the Acacia flooring you laid down?
Earthwerks makes the acacia flooring
I have 1500 feet in our home
COMPLETION!
Is that the same coach all the way through these threads? The floors look lighter than when the thread started. Lighting makes a big difference on Acacia...
