brings up a question. so do our two battery banks merge automatically when driving down the road?

tom
Tom, doesn't the isolator provide charging to both banks? Not merging them but at least charging them?
Yes, the isolator allocates the charge to the banks based on need. I understand some coaches do not have an isolaor.
What’s an isolators look like/located?
if you have one it will be in the electrical panel under the hydraulic tank at the rear engine door hatch. meaning the one to get at the back of the engine

tom
My 1992 automatically merges the two 12 volt systems when the ignition key is on except while operating the starter per the owners manual.
Adrian,
The battery isolator is where Tom said it was.  It is the blue item on the wall to the right.  There are three battery post connections--chassis batteries, alternator & house batteries.
Well I thought the problem had sorted itself out but it is back with a vengeance. Now ALL the batteries are dead and the inverter is not charging anything. In my infinite wisdom I thought the inverter was charging so I merged all the batteries together. We have been here for a week and this morning I got a call from Karen that everything was dead and nothing worked. So now I’m trying to find an automatic charger to get us through the cold nights until we can get a new inverter installed. I will be ordering the Magnum and the remote panel for it.
Anyone know the cheapest place that would have them in stock?
On the bright side we have two 4-pound dogs to keep us warm at night ...
I bought mine from imarineusa

Tom
I took some pictures of bay 5 and I don’t see a charger but maybe I’m missing something...
