For anyone with the 4 button Duo-Therm thermostats this is wonderful. This thermostat has been obsoleted by Duo-Therm and replaced with a 5 button thermostat. It gets expensive because the control boards in your a/c's have to be changed--I've got 4 air units! OUCH.

The normal problem with these thermostats is that the buttons quit functioning. This company will repair your unit for $90.00. The four button Duo-Therm 4 button thermostats were used from sometime in the early 90s into the mid 2000 when it was replaced with the new 5 button.

Right on Steve. I have repaired a number of those T/S for friends with rooftop units. It is a tedious repair and requires steady hands, and you still have to be a little lucky. I should have charged more - just kidding. Sure beats the factory solution which requires new electronics on the other end too. Russ

Here is another source for rebuilt 4 or 5 button comfort control thermostats. Ernie posted this on the Wanderlodge Guru site.

Steve- that is the fella I just used. Prompt service the unit looks new and you send him back the old unit after you plug in the new and test it. He even pays the postage for return.
Ernie,
Was there any reprogramming required or was it plug & play?
he had instructions to hit a couple buttons. I believe those instructions come with all the units
Thanks Ernie....................
