Is it ok to steam clean the engine bay and transmission with degreaser ? Do I need to be cautious to any particular device or place?

if the degreaser is caustic, and most are, it will attack the aluminum in the radiator and charge air cooler if not rinsed well. Do not aim a high pressure stream at the radiator or CAC. The fins are easily distorted.
