We are bringing our coach to the Newell factory on Sept 2nd to have some work done and want to know what there is to see and do in the area and also if anyone else is going to be there at that time. We are driving from western NC and plan on taking a few days to get there and open for where to go after we leave, thinking of heading out west.

Take a drive up old Route 66 through Baxter Springs, the Rainbow Bridge (also called Marsh Bridge), Eisler Brothers Store in Riverton, Kan-O-Tex Service Station in Galena, Mural Park in Joplin. Great drive.
Thanks Mike, we will check it out.

Miami is not a sightseeing Mecca, but Mickey Mantle's home in Commerce is just a few minutes from the factory. Allow five minutes for the visit. Other than that, we went to a movie and got a drink at the Buffalo Run Casino. On the way there, my wife asked that we stop at the Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage, MO...this is the figurines which you might recognize. It was an interesting stop and is about 45 minutes from the factory. https://preciousmomentschapel.org/ (Edit...looks like the museum portion is closed at the moment.)
The Stables Casino and the High Winds Casino are open is you like to gamble. The restored Coleman Theater is beautiful and with reservations is open for tours Tuesday - Saturday. Very impressive.
Shangri-La golf and marine resort is just 20 miles south on Monkey Island OK. Beautiful hotel if you need a night away from the coach. Golf and boating (rentals available). http://www.shangrilaok.com/ we live here so PM if you need more info.

Restaurants in Miami are poor, so bring your own food or bring low expectations :-) food is better on Monkey Island.

They are building a top notch RV park in Grove, OK called The Regatta on Grand Lake but don’t think it will be open by then https://theregattaongrand.com/

Casinos everywhere. The largest is Downstream outside Joplin. Many have low to no cost RV spots.

Crystal Bridges in Bentonville, AR is beautiful art museum, check to make sure it is open to public first. I know they have shut due to COVID some.
