Well Tony, call me
Hi Guy,

Mine has been like this 4 years, never starts first switch on, the switch lights up but nothing, turn it off then back on and it works every time, then it will come up to temp and turns on and off as demand calls for it until I turn it off, clean it out regularly and change the filter and nozzle if it starts to smoke on start up.
Did the tap test on the motor and the control box with the control box off the motor, it is the motor. Rudy we are in Marble Falls.
"Did the tap test on the motor and the control box with the control box off the motor, it is the motor. "

Reminds me of the test on a heating system in the garage I worked at in NY many decades ago. When the hot water circulating motor quit working and it got cold you could tap on it and get the heat flowing again.
Forest,

I redid the wiring inside the burner. Most of it is accessible in the area around the nozzle, electrodes, and flame sensor. If you slide the black cover off the back of the burner, the motor wires are accessible.
thanks Richard!
Steve, Just got home a little while ago fixing a heater. I can not drive to Marble Falls, can meet you part way to replace the motor. Or, I can ship you a motor and you do the labor, it is not rocket science but requires good mechanical skills. It takes hour to hour and a half to perform and check the operation.

Let me know. I like phone calls between 8 and 8, Texas time. I have 4 heater jobs Friday but can talk if you call.

Just to close out my portion of the thread, shipped the burner to Roger Berke for a rebuild, installed it yesterday afternoon, and it has not missed a beat all night. He installed a new motor, new bearings, some other miscellaneous parts along with a tune-up.
Outsdanding Steve, Roger is the very best.
