Whenever I'm trying to sell something I try to answer all emails even if someone has "promised" to buy it. I've had too many no-shows and walkaways. I like to have more options. When I sell it I send a response back that it's sold but will not respond to any other emails from the same person. No "how much did you sell it for", etc.
I'll also keep a list of where I have it listed so I can cancel that listing or mark it sold. But that's just me.
When I sold my LazyDaze I had 5 people wanting to buy it. I told the first person in line that I needed $500 refundable deposit to hold it while they traveled. I also told the other 4 what I was doing. First person flew in and bought it.
But that 40' has an appeal to me.
It's not sold until the money is in my hand.
