Attached you'll see an odd hose and ball valve with a T to a water hose fitting in my aquahot bay. It's odd because the ball valve only close one side of the T and the plastic plug the other side of it. Of course, it's leaking.

I have NO idea what it's there for. Can anyone enlighten me?

Thanks!
What is it leaking?
Rick,

I can't really tell where the hose goes, but my guess, and it's really only a guess, is that it might be a re-configured black/grey tank flush connection. My tank has a garden hose connection which allows you to flush out the tank, but it's mounted much closer to the tank itself, and not real easy to get to. Is it possible a PO added a length of hose to aid access? Are you able to trace the hose to the black/Grey tank?
The T fitting attaches to a hose which goes to the base of the waste water tank.

Maybe a flush as there is a garden hose connection, but the T fitting with valve on one side has me stumped as there is no way to shutoff the pressure to the garden hose end... It drips smelly water all the time.

Well not at the moment cause its empty!
That's what it does on mine.
It is for the waste tank flush. In it’s original config there is a tee in that line because there is also a flush fitting at the top of the tank. The tee allows you to flush from the top or the bottom. What you have is a modification by a previous owner.
Does anyone have a photo or diagram of the original configuration. While the tank is empty I'd like to flush it and return it to OEM config.

Thanks!

Richard,
Perfect! That's EXACTLY the assembly I have. Now i wonder why the removed the top valve from the tank in the first place.
Any idea why someone would remove the top hose/valve/t-fitting/garden hose connection from the top of the tank and add a simple plastic plug?

The hose is still connected to the bottom of the tank and the top with all the connections intact was just laying in the bay.

Why would that have any benefit???

Was there any attachments INSIDE the tank or was it just the valve and a large stream coming out of it?
