Outstanding credit (813), bought coach outright, no accidents, no tickets. Two quotes so far $6100 (2k Deductable) and $6500 (5k deductible). I can get the first quote down to 4500 with $5K deductible. I'm waiting on one more quote, then I expect to take the 4500. Ouch!
Dave,

I went through the same thing a few years ago and eventually found

Times two for Ron Jarvie. He has insured our Fortravel for years. Way less than most others for us.
i also use overland insurance and have for quite a few years.

i have national general insurance with them. i have heard they are no longer insuring newells and prevosts for new customers, but i have no idea if that is true or not. i just paid my policy for the next year a few weeks ago and though the reference is not apples to apples in any sense of the word, my bill was 1277. i think my insured value is 200 or 250k, i dont remember and reducing it didnt change it much if i recall

i have 1000 deductible and full glass zero deductible and the highest limits they allow. 500k etc.

and i am not a full timer.

my insurance has fluctuated alot over the past 5 years between 1200 and 2000. makes no sense.

Overland was the second quote I got - it was a different person, but they were highest. I'm waiting for one more company that will likely be calling me back Monday. Other than that I will take the 4564.00 quote. If the SALT tax change goes to unlimited I will be able to recoup my $24K+ in taxes for the Newell and the 50 year old custom Karmann Ghia I bought the wife last month...
Double check with Ron....for this kinda money, its worth the phone call. Smile
I will call him on Monday.
I join the folks that share talk to Ron for the final price vs the young folks helping him.
This insurance is just all over the place. My initial quote on mine was about $2,632.53 at State Farm. Friend of mine in another city is paying about $650 at State Farm with an agreed value of just over 300k on his 96 Prevost. I get that the 300k makes no sense, but how earth there could be this much variance within the same company is pretty crazy on similar vehicles. I asked for a full underwriting assessment and provided original order forms, etc. and this morning they came back with $2296.10. Seems crazy high to me.
To close this out, Ron tweaked against my Foremost quote and we saved 300 dollars
