Do our SCS basement air conditioners have filters?
Where are they?
Are they the replaceable type or washable type?

Probably under the entrance steps and behind the driver seat. Throwaway and you can buy at the Walmart.
Forest,

My AC filters are in the entrance steps, yours are probably in the same place. I use the universal filter material, and I cut the new filters out with a pair of scissors. You can use the old ones as a template.

If you can, determine how long it has been since the AC units were last removed and cleaned with evaporator/condensor coil acid cleaner. I removed my units and cleaned them with coil cleaner and it really makes a difference in the level of cooling. You'll be glad you cleaned them when summer rolls around!Big Grin
Are they easy to take out and if so how is the best way? Chappell

Sorry, I'm talking about the units Tuga not the filters. My filters are under the entry steps also. Chappell
the ones in the steps one mine are just wedged in there. you can reach under and pull them out.

then you can get whatever material and such to custom trim at homedepot etc
