Looks interesting. The "hot climates" capability is what I would need. Our vehicles are subject to extreme temps in the summer sun.
100 seconds out of the industrial version is pretty crazy. Watched a demo video someone posted online and I have to say it was pretty impressive.
I wonder how close to the fire you need to get in order for it to work?
Good point Forest. It seems strange to fight fire with....... fire!! I would like to see a demonstration under windy conditions. Of course any extinguisher has limitations. This one might be ideal for indoors. I've been looking for a device to alert in the event of an engine fire. So far all I've found is aviation equipment.
One of the advantages of a dry chemical extinguisher is we were trained to start at ground level a ways back and walk towards the fire. The dry chemical blowing towards the fire would push the flames away from us as we advanced allowing us to get closer. Don't see how that device would allow that.
I’m not sold on this. Sorry.

It’s obviously removing the oxygen from the fire. But, yes, has to be close in order to do that, and I’d be hard-pressed to cram a lit “flare” under a dash to extinguish an electrical fire.

All these crazy new inventions to improve upon a high quality “clean agent” extinguisher…for what reason?  Now much to improve upon. Yes, the amount of “discharge” from that stick is awesome.  But guess what?  ONCE YOU LIGHT IT…THAT’S IT…DONE…SPENT!!

Out of the hundreds of times I’ve used an extinguisher, of every type made (except for the old bump style inverted models), I’ve yet to dump it all at once!  You have to be tactical and direct, and evaluate the application; saving some for a flare up.

Man, I’m sounding like a grumpy old curmudgeon. Hmmm…
But I hate seeing some things that just prey on the vulnerable. A better mousetrap, this is not, in my opinion.
Thanks Steve! I was hoping you would comment.
