I am curious.  What are the typical repair times for coaches that go to Newell for repairs/service?  What is the longest you have left your coach at the factory?

My parents have a coach that was dropped off in January but as of today, has not been fixed/repaired.  They originally left the coach with a list of repairs/service and they were looking at having new floors installed.  They ended up deciding against the floors a few months ago, but the repairs have still not been completed.  Currently, it is pending a repair on the engine break (which Newell sent off to another shop a month or two ago but the issue was not resolved so they sent it back out).

I am not meaning this post as a complaint by any means, but rather trying to get a feeling for whether or not this is normal.  The same coach was left at Newell for roughly 4-5 months a couple of years ago as well.  This just seems really inefficient to me.
I have never had Newell do any remodel work. I have never had Newell do any major engine work. The only body work I have had Newell do was removing the skin from the entry door, realigning it, trimming it, and reinstalling it. With those caveats, I have always staying with my coach at Newell and it has never taken them more than a week.

I don't think Newell does any major engine, transmission or generator work in house. They sub that out to companies that specialize in that particular type of work. A coach is a tremendously complicated machine and I am amazed at the number of things they handle in house for such a wide variety of coaches built during the past 50+ years.

Sorry I can't be on more help.
Based on their current workload, it doesn’t surprise me. And, based upon how many issues they’re having with parts, that adds to the timeframe of repairs.

Most people, including myself, spend more than a week…up to 3 weeks; just depends on what you need done.
i know this is not a fair comparison maybe, but my mahindra tractor has been in the dealer for repairs for the past 10 weeks and is not done yet. been sitting most of that time either waiting for parts or information.

I don't drop off my coach. I stay with it & watch the work. Never been at Newell more than 3 days. But depending on the length & complexity of the list, time could vary. What was the time estimate when it was dropped off?
