Here is a nice read about an old Travco. I linked it more for the concept that many of the gurus espouse. That being warranty by the owner, and the more you can fix, the happier you will be.

our first motorhome was a travco that my fatherinlaw had bought new. it had a huge side to side propane tank on an extended rear bumper because he was a propane dealer. it made the front end a bit light....ha
