I tried the search function on this but (as usual) I could not get the answer.
I have almost no hot water out of my shower valve. From the amount of crap I have pulled out of my screens. In other faucets its likely the screen is  plugged. I cannot figure out how to get the temperature control knob off. There is no removable cap on the front of the knob to conceal a set screw. Does anybody know how to get this thing apart?  Additional info:  Hot water in all other faucets works great so I doubt it’s the mixing valve at the aqua hot.  Thank you.
The smooth outer piece should unscrew. Hold the ridged part of the knob with one hand and unscrew the polished cap. should be a screw underneath it along with other retaining clips.

better yet watch this video.

Wanderman posted the service manual for that valve, but like many other people I can not get the search function to work, I did down load manual but do not know how to post it
Got it! Thanks. After removing and soaking the cartridge in some CLR it is working! Thx so much!
Gregg,

Put a new one in !! They almost all go wonky with time. They will allow hot water to flow initially but do not adjust as the water temp from the AH starts to cool.

Will do! Is Amazon the best place to get them?
Don’t know if it is or not, but that link will give you a part number to put into a wider search.
