One of the solenoids for the Dupree air operated dump valve is leaking air out of the exhaust port when the valve is open.
Is this normal? Doesn't seem like it should leak air after it opens the valve.
Has anyone replaced one of the solenoids and have a source for them other than buying the complete set from Dupree?
Thanks!
i dont believe it is the solenoid. i will bet it is a leak on the inside seal of the cylinder itself. i had that same exact valve leak on the air slide for the deep freeze and i replaced the solenoid and it was exactly the same. i rebuilt the cyclinder and it fixed it.

the dupree valve on the passenger side of mine started leaking at the same place as yours so i just took it out and capped it. will deal with it another time

Thanks Tom. I'll order a cylinder rebuild kit, they're only about $10.
I'll need to use the curbside dump over the winter.
Did you get your macerator put together?
yes. i used a 5 foot rhino hose and put one end on the dupree fitting that goes on the coach. then a clear extension to see what is going on and then that connects to the macerator. i have not tried it yet but will soon.

i rebuilt the cylinders on both sides. takes a O ring pliers.

I just encountered this problem, but have never rebuilt a cylinder. Does anyone have the cylinder rebuild kit part number at their fingertips?

thanks!
Here you go Bill: http://www.dupreeproducts.com/ProductDet...100P%2D031

I bought a kit but never used it. I added a small needle valve with tubing fittings I got at a hardware store. Believe it's for a refrigerator ice maker. I just turn on the air supply when I'm going to dump then turn it off after the valve opens.
it is not hard to rebuild. but you do have to have a snap ring pliers.
