Inverter 240 VAC for Stove - Dual Outback VFX2812 -

Coach 1482 has two VFX2812 inverters with a Hub communications manager. Should I have inverter 240 VAC for the stove? I do not and just started wondering about that.

No 240 inverted circuits on mine either. Same Outback inverters as yours.

I have 3 2812's on LifePo4 in 1212 with an Outback AutoTransformer to make 240v. I am not sure if Outback still uses the AutoTransformer or not, but my understanding is that was how they made 240v. On newer coaches, they may use something else.

Victron sells a 120/240 autotransformer rated at 100 amps, (50 per leg) for $509.

There is an Outback PSX-240-RELAY Auto Transformer, an Outback Hub 4, MATE2M Controller/Display and two VFX2812 Inverter/Chargers. I don't know if the auto transformer is used to produce 240VAC, generator balancing, inverter balancing or???

Jim,
Yes, the OUTBACK PSX-240 AutoTransformer can be used as a STEP UP or STEP DOWN transformer. And, in our case, it's used to STEP UP the 110v to 240v.
I'll include the schematic of configuration in case you don't have it.

You may also want to make sure that the breaker on the autotransformer is not tripped. This happened to me once as apparently I wasn't load balancing well when I turned on the electric Aquahot(or maybe it was all 3 burners of the stove). Took me a while to figure out the breaker on the front of the autotransformer was tripped.

I checked the auto transformer circuit breaker, it was not tripped, but I reset it anyhow. No joy. In the meantime, one of the inverter fans quit so now I need to find one of them and change it quickly. I put a fan in the compartment which blows all the time, hopefully it helps.

Hmmm. Does any of your 240v equipment work on the inverters at all? I have seen your threads, and I know you are definitely capable of checking the output Legs to make sure you're getting the proper voltage output. It's so weird that they would install the autotransformer and not have it power the electric stovetop. As far as I have found, there is no equipment on my bus that the inverter setup doesn't power, but there are some combos that it doesn't like(like all 4 AC units), or the AH on electric 240 and pretty much anything else. I have however bypassed all of the load balancing contactors that Newell built in after having a couple of issues with them. I found that system unnecessary if you have ever owned a boat with these type of power systems.... You become an expert at load management, especially in a hot place like Texas(think Apollo 13

).
Is the internal fan error interrupting the power output? That might cause it. I had an internal fan go out, but because I have the 3 2812's, I don't remember there being an interruption in the 240v; but then again, I am not sure I even used the inverters for more than minor stuff during that time.
On a brighter note, the internal fan swap was pretty easy, although slightly time consuming. I bought 2 fans and keep 1 as a spare. I purchased mine from one of the solar companies online that had them in stock(I can't find the receipt in my email).
