my 90 had 2 tanks for a total of 330 gallons. my 02 has one tank for 315 gallons. i assume it is mostly weight for the reduction in size. plus the 02 gets better mpg

500 gallons has to take up alot of space

I have a hard time coming up with a mileage figure right now because of starting with half a tank at purchase. It looks like it may be 6 MPG exactly. Now we can go from fill up to fill up and be a little more exacting. Does 6 seem reasonable? I drive like grandma, except that visiting Clarke in Tahoe was a lot of high altitude. We have a log from day 1 so the figures will emerge....

We get 5.25 on a bad day and 7.5 on a really good day. 6.0 -6.25 is pretty average in CA at 55 mph towing 10K, or in AZ/NM at 70 mph. Actually seems to do a little better at 70. 8V92.

Guy, we have been getting 6.5-7 mpg consistently pulling our 26' enclosed car hauler. We drive about 60 mph.

I will consider the diesel bill my "new " house payment as a full timer.....

Guy, that is the best way to look at it. We call it paying the rent.....we haven't paid the rent for almost 7 months now. The great thing is you can determine what your rent will be from month to month.
