gordon,

at least at the cat scales i have used, they have humongo concrete filled steel tubes on each side of the scale to prevent doing anything but going directly on the scale.

does anyone know what newell charges for it?

Forest, do you plan on attending the Escapees rally? I am going to the FMCA in Gillette, then to Newell rally, and back to the Escapee rally.

No Chester after Spearfish I'm following Tom and Clarke to Canada for 2 or 3 weeks. Might go over to Idaho after that. Then need to be in Salt Lake City for Sept. 22 to do a Habitat build. But will still have a month or 2 before we head back to Louisiana for Thanksgiving. Like Clarke says "jello plans".

Tom,
I can't answer your question directly, but here is some info. Newell's labor rate is currently $110 per hr. They use portable digital electronic scales just like we used with the race cars, which will print out the results. It took less than an hour. Newell does not break down the labor rates on their bills and I had several things done, so I couldn't say how much it was for just the weighing. A phone call to Newell could get you an answer.
