I'm sure you'll get it figured out, my son bought a older 36 foot coach that only had 40k miles on it and it had a cummings diesel pusher in it but the owner said it was making black smoke and wanted to dump it, my son bought it for 9k and we drove it home but I knew what the problem was before he drove it, lack of boost and sure enough it had a cracked exhaust manifold which he changed out and it runs like a top and works perfectly so don't rule out a heart transplant of something like that.
