Going to your other thread where you numbered the valves, I think some of the valves you are seeing are just for the coolant filter and have nothing to do with the heating loops.
I think the 3rd valve as you numbered them left to right is for the coolant filter and maybe even the 4th valve is also for the coolant filter. Mine has different T-handle type valves for the coolant filter, but not yours. If you shut off both of the valves 1 and 2 then you shut off what I believe to be both the supplies to the aquahot and to the heater core. Look further towards the back of the bus on the engine you will see another valve that goes into the water pump. The water pump is on the back of the gear case of the engine. Then if its like mine there is another valve up high on the engine just next to the turbo that goes into the thermostat housing.

I wonder if someone has not mixed the engine pre heat return with one of the zone returns mixing the two fluids together

Jeff, my coach is exactly like yours. I’ll try to test the valves to see which one control the AH heat loop to the engine as Richard suggested (checking the engine manifold gets hot). I must have the correct valves on for the engine as the Radiator/Engine are working as advertised and staying cool (enough) with the big hydraulic fan cycling between about 185 and 205… Thanks for the suggestions guys! I’ll be staying next week at the mothership so I may ask them to help me identify 1) which hose goes to the AH 2) which hose goes to the heater core 3) what is the best/easiest way to remove or fix the heater core as I would like to keep the dash heat if possible. I was thinking maybe I could cut out a big chunk of the black plastic on the top of the dash to give me room to reconnect/fix the hoses going to the heater core…

Did you get this straightened out at Newell? If so, do you mind sharing what was done.

No, I had so many questions that this one got buried and they didn’t have a lot of time to help during the 2 weeks we were there… next time I will make better appointments! Hopefully Jeff will be at the NoRally Rally and can help me look at it… jacks and stands are in the coach :-)
