On mine, IIRC, once the white knob is unscrewed it moved in and out like a bicycle pump. But yours may not be that way or my memory chips are corrupted.
If in doubt, just crack the injectors and spin the engine.
Oh!! Duh!! I’ll give that a try. I unscrewed the one like that on the aqua hot but couldn’t figure out how to work it.. I’ll try this on the generator. Fingers crossed.

Dennis. Can you provide make and model of your engine? Or a pic of the injectors and the passenger side of the engine?

Not at the moment. I keep it in a building about 15 minutes away.. I believe it’s the 20kw Koehler with the yanmar engine.. I’m like 85% sure anyway

On my Yanmar there is a lift pump. My finger is on the plunger. The other pic shows wrench on the injector fitting. Loosen all 4 injector fittings. Pressing that lever repeatedly will prime your fuel filter and fill the lines up to the injector. Once bubbles are not coming from injector tighten the fitting.

Dennis, if your set is a Kohler, it won’t have a manual lift pump. Kohler uses an electric pump. Without pictures, you could have a solenoid that is directly connected to the injection pump or, it could be mounted to the block with a linkage. Either way nothing happens until the injection pump rack is moved to full fuel position, then the governor takes control..
If you have introduced air, it will need to be bled first.

Mine looks identical to this one that Mitchel Stapleton has.

I had a chance to start on my generator that won’t start today.
1. Filters are new
2. Fuel pump runs when I put 12 volts to it. Can’t tell while I’m cranking and the wire to it look a little suspect
3. Loosened the banjo fitting. Got some fuel out while cranking it over but it’s not coming out like gangbusters
4. Loosed the injectors and same.
5. Replaced the fuel solenoid fuse
6. Tried holding the fuel solenoid on manually woth my finger and still no start
Where do I go from here?? And can anyone point me in the direction of where to get the pigtails for the fuel pump. I think it could use new ones

Hot wire the pump. It won’t cause a problem short term, the fuel just circulates back to the tank.
Crack the banjo fitting with the pump running.
Assuming you get enough fuel to make a mess, try again cranking while holding the solenoid.
