Got some of the floor up tonight. It's just complete rot. The tin underneath is not in very good shape either.
I am thinking about using advantech for the floor, which is fairly water resistant. Is it necessary to put the tin back down or is it just holding water against the floor? I am also considering spray foam on the under side of the floor.

If your going to use advantech and spray foam it I wouldn't be concerned with the tin. When you get the tin up it would be a perfect time to think about running everything you'll need to bring it up to modern standards electrical, plumbing so on.

That's the plan. Honestly I have no clue what a modern unit would have . First time here. I did plan on completely re wiring, new lights, outlets etc

Pex plumbing, ethernet cable from front to back for rear camera and tv. I'm a fan of mini splits so refrigerant lines would be on the list. What type of throttle do you have? Cable?

Advantech will probably be fine structurally. If it were mine I would replace the metal. There are many options available to preclude rust. There is a lot of flammable materials below the floor. I like the idea of having a metal barrier between the chassis and the living area. I think it will aid in cabin noise reduction as well. Then again I am a "belt and suspenders kind of guy!"

Well, we have made some progress. All of the old floor has been completely removed. Hit the rails with a flap disc to clean everything up, then painted the whole thing. We did lay new tin down under the advantech, the covered the whole floor with advantech.
The open hole in the floor is going to be the shower. We are a tall family so I am going to sink the shower down into the floor for a little more head room.

Awesome JR! Your doing it right, I like the advantech and use it where needed but my back hurts every time I see it. Nice to see the plywood on the walls under the window is in great shape. Keep the pictures coming.

Unfortunately even though it looks like it is good shape the walls need to come out as well. I believe everything windows, ac units, vents, have all been leaking. The insulation in the walls is soaking wet. We needed to get a floor in it though before we could strip everything else out of it. Everything is coming out right down to the bare shell. Then it's going to get spray foamed and re seal everything.
