Backup compressor - Yachts - 11-09-2014

Since my 110 went out and I am waiting for my replacement. When the coach has been sitting ,Newell said just get a shop compressor and plug it in to the air chuck in the back passenger side of the engine that way it keeps air to the coach.. They also said that is the best way to store or if you are keeping the coach in one place for an extended period of time. It got me thinking why not permanently plumb it in so if you ever have an emergency like the engine compressor goes down you have a super backup..

Opinions?

I don't have an on board air compressor in my '82 other than the one that comes off the engine. When I sit for a long time I just plug my pancake compressor into the quick connect air chuck in the engine bay and it stays aired up. Otherwise I have to start the engine every 2, or 3 weeks to air up again.
