Finally upgraded from a 32' Airstream travel trailer to a real motorhome.
I was planning on converting a 1955 Greyhound Scenicruiser, but after looking at how long it would take & how well built the Newell is - it was a no brainer.

The 1000 mile trip home was great.

Now to learn all the features this coach has & how to operate them properly.

Congrats on the new coach and welcome to the Gurus.

I am not that familiar with the classics, but love to see them!

Cheers,
bill

ps... If you update your signature with your name, coach number, and year...it would probably attract more folks that know your coach's systems.

OK, I added the coach number & drive train.

Since you have a 1987, finding the coach number may be a bit of a challenge. The coach number is frequently on the inside of the engine bay doors during the 1983-1989 model years, on the design floorplan from Newell, and typically on the inside of some of the interior trim pieces. The coach number would be a 3 digit number between about 120 and about 159. The VIN for 1987 coaches would start with 1N9912X8, then a check digit, then H10110, followed by a two digit sequence number which indicates the order in which it was built during the 1987 model year. There were at least 37 Newells built during 1987.

I am still attempting to correlate VIN numbers to coach numbers for the 1983-1989 era. I have some data but I also have some conflicting information.

Welcome fellow classic owner.
I was looking at busses as well until I stumbled onto mine.
