When Mary and I was at Newell, Marc was there and he took us over to the storage where he had this chassis.  It was very impressive in how it worked.

so what are these trailers going to cost?

RE: Road test - Yachts - 05-02-2016

Painted to match a coach depending on options. Less than 100k. A featherlight similar length and capacity is around 125k, that is not painted (add 20k) .... But ours are soooo much easier to use and so much better than what the other companies offer.

1. No climbing out windows
2. No ramps to deal with
3. One person easy hookups.
4. Self parking.
5. Additional living space and toys galore.

When you get it completed, maybe you could have a presentation of it at a rally or at Newell?

RE: Road test - larryweikartsr - 05-03-2016

That will be the ultimate trailer Marc and at a very competitive price! It's almost enough to bring me out of "retirement" and ask for a sales job. I would love to show this at RV Rallies. As you know, Steve, at Concept Cars, built 2 of that type (not as advanced as yours) chassis for our trailers, and I can attest to their towing ability and durability. Anyone, wanting a "stacker" would be a fool not to consider the Newman-Ellis trailer. Best wishes for a successful venture! (was that the "hammer" on the trailer?)

RE: Road test - Yachts - 05-03-2016

No that was the 500sl on the trailer. Hammer was at home getting detailed.

Excellent Marc. It is so cool to follow along on the development of this project.

RE: Road test - Chester Stone - 05-03-2016

I am curious to know if it is pulled behind a 45' Newell, will the length comply with state laws?

RE: Road test - pairodice - 05-03-2016

Most states are 65' total length aren't they? This would be pushing 70' easily behind a 45'er (which is probably closer to 46')... Can't we get some type of temp permit per state for an extra long load? I personally would not worry about it as I know several people who are WAY over the length and even triple tow. Just do like I do and run only at night with the lights off :-)
