To shred or not to shred, that is the question - BusNit - 02-21-2022

I am having the countertops replaced tomorrow. Debating on whether to keep the garbage disposal or removing it altogether. My wife and I never put food scraps down the drain in our house, why would we start doing so in the coach. Any reason to plumb it back in?

It appears mine looks new and unused. Every bit of weight I remove allows for more weight to be installed in the form of tile and other niceties!

There are several threads on the interweb about folks makeing a macerator pump using disposalls.

My garbage disposal is used for draining the dishwasher. I would have to plumb something different if I wanted to save the weight.
We only have residual small bits of food make it down our garbage disposal in the RV and at home. I'm not to keen on not having one in either place.
