Purchase of '95 Newell coach - help? - SherwoodFulltimers - 05-27-2022

Hello. New to forums and new to Newell. Been fulltiming with our 3 boys in our montana fifth wheel but have realized in the last few months that we want to switch to a motorhome experience. Newells and prevost have caught our attention for obvious reasons. After a lot of research but still more to do we have landed on a 1995 newell. Its a beauty inside and out. I guess Im just hoping that anybody out there can either confirm or warn against this particular year as far as any manufacturing problems, delamination or other major things? We realize purchasing a quality coach comes with possible increased expenses just as buying a Porsche cost more to maintain than a toyota...and we are excited and ready for the challenge to repair the 'small' things ourselves and learn as much as we can on the way.

Each Newell is a 100 % custom produced coach, per the requirements of the buyer. Many of the  main elements, engine , suspension etc are common to units made before and after the production of the coach you have interest in, but even the coach made just before , and just after yours can be very different.  Gurus on this site that have experience in the purchase and sale of units will surely jump in to give you purchasing do's and dont's. Best wishes in your search for the perfect coach for you and your family,

Most of the 1995 Newells had the dependable Detroit Diesel Series 60, 500 HP engine, an Allison 6 speed World Transmission and Ridewell axles. These are common components that almost any truck mechanic is familiar with and parts for the drive train are typically available.
