Hi I’m new here! - Jnewell1 - 07-07-2024

Having AC issues with my 77 MCI Custom Coach. Exploring going with an equal Newell, since that’s my last name.

Welcome!

Be sure to check out the section of the forum dedicated to questions about buying a used Newell. It will answer MANY of newcomer inquiries.

Welcome J Newell!

Buying a coach that looks good doesn't mean that everything is great with the coach, like any RV out there always go for the one thats been maintained.

Welcome Aboard J Newell.

I can't add much to what Jack and Richard said. That would just add to drinking from a fire hose.

We love our Newell. It is hard to believe it is this old and we wouldn't trade it for a new one from some other brand.

Welcome to the group J. I have migrated from an MCI to a Wanderlodge and now a Newell. Newell's are great but just be aware any RV is going to need maintenance, just depends on how well they were maintained by the previous owner. The best bang for the buck typically is paying a little more upfront to get one that was well cared for. Of course being a do it yourself type I bought one that was sitting for well under market value, it is taking some work to get it to where I would like it to be but I am slowly getting there. I did the same thing with my Wanderlodge. So really it depends on what you want to do, do you enjoy working on them or would you rather have one that is going to be less work.

You could also post your issues with your 77 MCI and we may be able to help with those as well, there are some pretty sharp folks on here that are willing to help.
