Alternative to replacing aquahot? - folivier - 10-05-2024

Interesting solution to a leaking fresh water aquahot coil. Not sure if you can see it without signing up, if not let me know and I'll copy and paste it here.

I have had a heat exchanger and associate plumbing to bypass the domestic hot water coil since I bought the coach. Works Fantastically! Way more efficient than a disintegrated "mastic" attached coil.

Forest, Jim spent 3 months with me training to fix Aqua Hot heaters.  He is very sharp guy and has an excellent idea.

I added a flat plate heat exchanger to my system for truly endless hot showers. They are compact but work like a dream.

I copied Richards idea adding a flat plate exchanger and we added a small diesel water heater for boondocking works great.
