Track Bar (panhard) Which one? -
racerswift - 12-17-2024
Greetings,
Base on all the reports on replacing this bar and with my coach having 240K+ miles on it...
I'm trying to figure out the correct bar for my coach. It's 2001 #593. Base on the drawings from
the thread
Ridewell Drawings (https://newellgurus.com/showthread.php?tid=7524) post#5 I do have the Ridewell 246003 Drive Suspension based on my plate.
It's showing item 43 "Sway bar Tpin A=27.25" Part no: 5037046B323
I can't tell if this is the same as the meritor 5111 version? Does this seem correct.
Anyone have another source for this part. I tried the link from Jeff's reply in thread
https://newellgurus.com/showthread.php?tid=8107&page=4 but it's showing out of stock now. And I certainly do not want to remove this before I can get a new one.
Thanks
Frank

Frank,
This is the one that was on my coach 512
https://www.meritorpartsxpress.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/en/meritor-na/kit-5116
The difference between the two parts in Jeff's thread is the attachment method at the top of the rear differential. You will have to crawl under and take a look. If you have a tapered pin that goes into a tapered hole on the top of the diff, then you use part 5116
The 5112 part appears to mount to a stud on top of the diff.
Or post a pic of that attachment point on the diff, and we can help you figure it our.

Here is a pic I found on my phone of that end I believe.
Is there 8 bushings per side or is that total.

That appears to be the tapered end.
On the bushings you have changed the topic. There are two radius rods on each side. Each rod has two bushings. So a total of 8. There are also 4 of the very same bushings in the tag suspension.

Ok so that would be the same as yours then, the 5116 kit.
Thanks
