Buying a Newell - ejosh2006 - 12-27-2024

All,

I have been in the hunt for a Newell Coach for a while and have found several that I am considering.
The coach I am looking at are 2007 - 2010
   What should I look for?
   What should I ask for?
Besides the typical Battery, Tires and slides what should I look for?
Is there a list that I need to go through?
I will also need an independent inspector. Any suggestions for who to call? (Florida and Texas for now)
How can I check the windows and airbags and what do I need to look out for when opening and closing the slides
How can I confirm the status of the engine and Gen engine?
What about the heater, AC and the aquahot system?
What would be recommended to check all the internal, electrical and mechanical operations.
Soo many questions

Thank you in advance
Josh

Josh,
All good questions. As you can imagine you are not the first to ask these questions. Many of them have been answered multiple times. You might want to read the entire section on Things to Consider when buying a used Newell. You will find many details in that section, and it’s a worthwhile investment of your time when considering a purchase.

Is this your first motorhome?

Josh,
After I saw my first Newell for sale I found this forum. I read and read and read gathering all the info I could. I started with what Richard recommended and read the new posts everyday. Then I went into sections of this forum based on what I thought would be sticky wickets in the future. I still read the new posts pretty much every day.
That first Newell was #590 and we bought #586 a little over 4 years ago.
Don't be afraid of asking questions here. This group of gurus will help you out. They are the best forum for friendship and being nice to others I have been on.
Welcome Aboard and I hope you find a Newell that fits your needs and wants.

Thank you everyone for the replies.
I checked out several coaches and ready to pull the trigger on one but still have many questions and few more options to check out.
Need time for all the valuable information on this site.

Thank You
Josh
