Just posted a video of replacing the leveling valves on #490 on the drive axle. I have steer axle bags ordered and I will change the front leveling valve while I am changing the bags.

If you order the KOR valves from Rob at Dayton, he includes a conversion plate for changing the hole orientation from horizontal to vertical. I imagine the frame steel is harder than woodpecker lips.

We have a problem with mud daubers here in AR and any line left open will end up with a plug in the end so I try to put a tad bit of brass brillo pad in the end of any port or line left open. Not sure why the man upstairs gave us those pesky things along with wasps, mosquitoes and flys.

That is probably the best way for most folks that do not want to have to drill holes. I just wanted leveling valves that were easy to source from anywhere, and these are the most common leveling valves available.
As far as woodpecker lips, yes the frame is hard. I am used to this coming from the Wanderlodge, its steel is crazy hard. I bought a set of really good drill bits back when I started drilling in the bird.
Here is the set I bought, it cuts through the steel like butter, some of my bits need to be sharpened since I have abused them:

Yea, we we have the same issue with insects here. Luckily the worst are the wasps here not the mud daubers. I like the idea of the brass wool for keeping them out of lines etc.
